Alan Alfano, Ph.D

Dr. Alan Alfano is a medical technology development expert and business advisor. He has previously worked with academic research entities, federal innovation centers (such as the National Cancer Institute/NIH), and early-stage startups. At TEDCO, Alan works extensively with rural ecosystem partners to identify entrepreneurs in need of support. By providing mentorship and connections with TEDCO’s full range of services, he helps these entrepreneurs launch and grow amazing companies.

In addition to his RBII mentoring with TEDCO, Alan is currently Director of Technical Applications with BullFrog A.I. Holdings, Inc., and serves as an Economic Reviewer for MTech Maryland Industrial Partnerships (MIPS) program. He earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine from the University of Maryland Baltimore (UMB), and holds a dual B.S. in Molecular Biology and Chemistry from Towson University.
