Although part of the executive branch, they operate as independent units of government and often employ private-sector approaches. Our dynamic speakers run two important agencies: Maryland Environmental Service and the Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO). Both are engineers with extensive experience in the private sector and academia prior to assuming their current roles.
