TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, traveled to Seoul, South Korea, with the goal of strengthening ties and unlocking new opportunities in biotechnology, investment and emerging technologies.

Before working at TEDCO, I always associated stewardship with financial responsibility. In my mind, it was something mostly comprised of managing resources carefully, protecting investments, and making smart decisions with limited capital. All of this is a part of it, especially in an organization that supports entrepreneurs across Maryland, but after spending time working across operations, reporting, and internal systems, I have started to see things a little differently.
 

In April 2026, a delegation from TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, arrived in Taiwan with a purpose: to deepen ties, unlock investment opportunities and build lasting bridges between two thriving innovation ecosystems.

The results of the most recent board election position the organization for continued growth, expanded international collaboration and a continued commitment to bringing innovation to market.

 TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, announced a recent Pre-Seed Builder Fund investment in Sommos. The Pre-Seed Builder Fund rests under the organization’s Social Impact Funds umbrella, created to support underserved founders and communities.
