Claudius Taylor serves as a mentor for TEDCO’s Rural & Urban Business Innovation Initiative (RUBII), two programs within the Venture Development department. In this role, Claudius supports founders in the Central Maryland region by helping them refine their business models, validate their technologies, and navigate the path to pre-seed funding and scalable growth.
He is an entrepreneurial leader and innovation strategist with a passion for empowering early-stage technology startups in underserved communities, and remains committed to helping rural entrepreneurs unlock their potential and build sustainable, tech-driven businesses that uplift their communities.
Claudius brings a dynamic background in SaaS development, UX optimization, and venture capital, drawing from his experience as CEO of Gambix, a tech and web development studio, and creator of Strata, an AI-powered UX optimization platform. His career spans the intersection of product innovation, business development, and startup mentorship, with a strong focus on leveraging data and AI to solve real-world problems.
Claudius holds a Master’s degree in Technology Entrepreneurship from the University of the People, and brings a wealth of hands-on knowledge in digital product strategy, early-stage fundraising, and customer discovery.
Outside of work, Claudius likes to enjoy music and pursue adventure - he has even swam with sharks!
