Rondall Allen

University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES)

Dr. Rondall E. Allen joined the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) on July 1, 2015, as Dean of the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions. In 2022, he was appointed the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. Prior to coming to UMES, he served as the Associate Dean for Academic Quality at South University School of Pharmacy.

Dr. Allen has over 35 years of experience in the profession of pharmacy and over 20 years of leadership experience in higher education. He has practiced in a variety of settings to include community pharmacy, acute care, ambulatory care, and the pharmaceutical industry.

Dr. Allen has served as a Board of Trustees member for TEDCO since 2021 and also serves on the Board of Directors for TidalHealth. He is a Peer Evaluator for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, a trained site-team evaluator for the Accreditation Council of Pharmacy Education and has served as a consultant for several Schools/Colleges of Pharmacy.

Dr. Allen received his BS in Pharmacy from Florida A&M University and his Doctor of Pharmacy from Xavier University of Louisiana. He completed a post-graduate residency program at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN, the Millennium Leadership Institute (American Association of State Colleges and Universities) and the Institute for Management and Leadership Education (Harvard).
