Total will be divided across 13 companies

COLUMBIA, Md., (December 15, 2025) — TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, announced the latest two rounds of awardees for the Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) Matching Funds (Matching Funds) program.

“The two recent competitive rounds brought several brilliant companies to the forefront,” said Julia Deng, director, SBIR Programs. “We look forward to the awardees’ continued growth and development that this supplemental funding offers, and we encourage others who have received a SBIR/STTR award within the past six months to apply for the current cycle.”

Created to strengthen the power of the SBIR/STTR awards, the Matching Funds program fosters job creation and economic development in Maryland by promoting the commercialization of research, facilitating technology transfer and encouraging SBIR/STTR program applications.

The awardees include:

  1. SpringWear, LLC, located in Baltimore, Md.
  2. Tao Treasures LLC, located in Frederick, Md.
  3. AlarisPro Inc., located in Lusby, Md.
  4. Rise Therapeutics LLC, located in Rockville, Md.
  5. Cogthera LLC, located in Brookeville, Md.
  6. Skylite Group, located in Bethesda, Md.
  7. miRecule, located in Gaithersburg, Md.
  8. Prompt Diagnostics Inc., located in Baltimore, Md.
  9. Evon Medics LLC, located in Ellicott City, Md.
  10. Isoprene Pharmaceuticals Inc., located in Baltimore, Md.
  11. LASARRUS Clinic and Research Center, located in Baltimore Md.
  12. Dynamic Dimension Technologies LLC, located in Westminster, Md.
  13. Kubanda Cryotherapy Inc., located in Baltimore, Md.

The quarterly cycle offers two funding levels – Phase I awardees can receive up to 25% of their award, capped at $25,000. Phase II awardees can receive up to 25% of the award, capped at $75,000. In this round, 11 of the 13 companies received $75,000 in Phase II matching funds, with AlarisPro Inc. and SpringWear LLC receiving a $25,000 Phase I matching funds.
