The first cohort was made up of 25 companies

COLUMBIA, Md., (January 27, 2026)TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, announced the first Business Resource Information, Development, and Guidance Ecosystem (BRIDGE) Program Proposal Lab cohort. Consisting of 25 companies in the Mid-Atlantic, the program was created to support Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Individuals (SEDI)-owned businesses and very small businesses (VSBs) with less than 10 employees in the proposal creation stage.

“Companies seeking government funding opportunities are often overwhelmed with the process,” said Stephen Auvil, chief federal engagement officer, TEDCO. “And companies that fall into the SEDI and VSB categories are often at a disadvantage. However, through this program, we hope to change this reality, giving these companies the knowledge and resources to create successful proposals, which, in turn, will support the region’s economic development.”

The intensive business development accelerator program is broken into four parts—an in-depth training in government business development, proposal training, training for AI use and alumni networking. The strategy created and delivered by OST Global Solutions leverages several programs to increase competitiveness.

“After seeing the success of the SBIR/STTR Proposal Lab, we knew there was an opportunity to support other companies,” said Kim Mozingo, vice president, Federal Programs, TEDCO. “This first cycle signifies the start of this multi-state initiative, and we cannot wait to see how the companies use the knowledge gained to grow.”
