Maryland-based company seeks to create sustainable liquid fuels

COLUMBIA, Md., (July 9, 2026)TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, announced a recent $250,000 investment in Alchemity, LLC. This investment was allocated through the organization’s GAP Investment Fund, a funding opportunity that rests under the Seed Funds umbrella.

"This investment allows Alchemity to validate technical performance at a meaningful scale and reduce commercialization risk by increasing the technology readiness and gathering crucial system operational data," said Emir Dogdibegovic, Alchemity co-founder and CEO, in a recent press release. “We thank the investors for their support and looking forward to putting our heads down and executing on the proposed efforts.”

Alchemity, LLC, located in College Park, Md., is a climate tech company developing a modular, turnkey reactor system to convert greenhouse gases and underutilized waste resources into carbon-neutral products via a single step and offering such products at price parity.

“With the growing energy demands across society, researchers and businesses, like Alchemity, are looking to bridge the gap and create alternative solutions,” said Teddy Gresser, senior director of TEDCO’s Seed Funds. “We look forward to watching the trajectory of Alchemity as they endeavor to bring a reliable solution to fruition and hope to see a continued entrepreneurial spirit across Maryland and beyond.”

Alchemity, LLC started their journey with TEDCO in 2023 when they received the Company Formation award from the organization’s Maryland Innovation Initiative (MII). For more information about our initiatives, programs and resources, visit tedcomd.com.

“As technology continues to progress, we are seeing more solutions that support more sustainable practices,” said TEDCO CEO, Troy LeMaile-Stovall. “And where better for these clean tech solutions to grow than a state that takes the commitment seriously? Maryland not only ranks fourth in energy efficiency, but has also committed to a 60% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2031 – an advantage for companies looking to research, innovate and grow clean tech solutions.”
