The Back-Office-in-a-Box is an initiative under TEDCO’s Business Resource Information, Development & Guidance Ecosystem (BRIDGE) Program

COLUMBIA, Md., (June 10, 2026) — TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, will be releasing a request for proposals (RFP) on June 15, 2026. The request is for proposals to support the Business Resource Information, Development & Guidance Ecosystem (BRIDGE) Program’s Back-Office-in-a-Box initiative and can be found here.

“As part of the three-year project created to support business growth across the region, the BRIDGE’s Back-Office-in-a-Box initiative provides both a ‘box’ of resources as well as ‘back-office services’ to open more opportunities and assist in continued regional growth,” said TEDCO CEO Troy LeMaile-Stovall.

The Back-Office-in-a-Box initiative was designed to provide technical assistance to qualifying Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Individual (SEDI)-owned businesses and Very Small Businesses (VSBs), allowing them access to more resources and expertise needed to obtain funding. The entities selected will be responsible for ensuring that businesses maintain accurate financial records, meet tax obligations and are more prepared for due diligence processes when seeking external capital. The services provided through the program are part of a broader and targeted Federal intervention aimed at improving the region.

“The BRIDGE program continues to offer support to qualifying businesses in the region. Through this particular initiative, we aid with the backbone of growing companies – from record keeping to payroll management and more,” said Kim Mozingo, vice president of Federal Programs, TEDCO. “We encourage all qualifying entities to send in a proposal for the chance to join us in supporting lasting regional growth.”

Interested applicants should respond to the detailed Request for Proposals (RFP) starting June 15, 2026, published here. The goal of this RFP is to receive proposals from potential firms, evaluate those submittals and select the ones best suited to provide the requested services listed throughout the document. Applicants should make sure to send in complete proposals by July 15, 2026.

Please direct any questions in writing via e-mail to bridge@tedcomd.com no later than June 30, 2026. A reasonable effort will be made to reply to all questions and answers will be posted on TEDCO’s website at tedcomd.com.

“The BRIDGE program consists of nine initiatives curated to support the continued development of qualified small businesses in the Mid-Atlantic region,” said April Davis-Hurtt, lead BRIDGE advisor, TEDCO. “We are honored to be able to offer another year of support to companies and look forward to working with another batch of vendors committed to uplifting the ecosystem.”

TEDCO’s BRIDGE program was created as a three-year project that will support qualifying businesses with legal, accounting and financial advisory services. For more information about the BRIDGE program and how to apply, visit our page at tedcomd.com/resources/bridge
