Maryland-based company working to develop a solution for content creators

COLUMBIA, Md. (June 30, 2026) —TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, announced recent Concept Capital support for Vews. Through the Concept Capital program, TEDCO helps bridge the early-stage funding gap for eligible entrepreneurs across Maryland.

“Current monetization efforts for influencers and content creators demand a reliance on advertisements and sponsorships, but this can result in stifling creativity and unreliable funding,” said Joshua Parker, CEO of Vews. “With this support from TEDCO, Vews will continue forward with our patented technology and look to offer a more reliable and creative source of income.”

Vews, located in Upper Marlboro, Md., is developing a social creator monetization platform that enables creators to earn directly from their audiences through pay-per-view livestreaming and video content. The platform is designed to reduce creators’ reliance on advertising and brand sponsorships while providing a transparent revenue-sharing model that helps creators clearly understand how they are compensated. By prioritizing direct audience support, Vews aims to give creators greater control over their content, revenue and audience relationships.

“With the creator economy now including an estimated 58 million influencers worldwide, the industry has grown significantly. Like any industry, as it grows, its processes should be evaluated, updated and improved, and that is exactly what Vews is working to do,” said Justin Ferguson, innovation manager, Venture Development, TEDCO. “This approach reinforces what we have long known: Innovation is not confined to a single industry. It spans sectors with the goal of improving existing practices. Through the Concept Capital program, TEDCO continues to support entrepreneurial growth and foster economic development.”

TEDCO’s Concept Capital program was created to provide critical early-stage funding for tech companies in need of assistance to further launch and grow their business, allowing Maryland to become a hub for entrepreneurial success. “Influencers reach more than 60% of the global population, and Maryland is one of the top states for their growth and attention,” said TEDCO CEO Troy LeMaile-Stovall. “And if that wasn’t enough, the state offers easy access to 3,000 miles of shoreline, the top ranking location for families, a top ranking professional and technical workforce, and more.  Together, these advantages make Maryland an ideal place for influencers, entrepreneurs and business leaders to build, grow and thrive.”
