TEDCO Invests in Syntes AI
Maryland-based AI company developing tools to enable organizations to deploy purpose-built AI applications for complex operations
COLUMBIA, Md. (September 16, 2026) — TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, announced a $250,000 investment in Syntes AI, a Maryland-based AI company. The investment, made through TEDCO’s Seed Funds, supports Syntes AI as it continues building solutions for mid- to large-sized enterprises, government agencies and cross-functional operational teams.
“We believe AI is fundamentally changing how enterprise software will be built and used,” said Christopher Ramsey, co-CEO and co-founder of Syntes AI. “Organizations can rapidly create purpose-built AI applications that understand their data, reason across complex business relationships and execute operational workflows, dramatically reducing development time, cost and manual effort. TEDCO’s investment will help us accelerate this vision and continue building Syntes AI in Maryland.”
Based in Bethesda, Md., Syntes AI is an LLM model-agnostic enterprise AI platform that aims to combine data, ontologies and knowledge graphs, AI agents and workflows to power trusted AI-native applications. Its governed context architecture was created to protect enterprise data while enabling AI to reason across complex information and safely take action across business systems.
“Investments in companies like Syntes AI demonstrate the breadth of innovation emerging from Maryland's startup ecosystem,” said Teddy Gresser, senior director of Seed Funds Investment. “TEDCO's role is to help promising companies access the resources and capital needed to continue building and refining their solutions.”
