Zuccardi serves as TEDCO’s ecosystem director for Venture Development
COLUMBIA, Md., (September 14, 2026) — TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, announces the recognition of Karen Zuccardi, ecosystem director for Venture Development, as one of The Daily Record’s 2026 Maryland Hispanic Leaders. Zuccardi is one of 54 honorees who will be recognized at the upcoming awards ceremony.
“Karen’s dedication to the Maryland ecosystem is only matched by her passion for uplifting the entrepreneurial community,” said Graham Dodge, vice president of Venture Development at TEDCO. “We are excited to see the well-deserved recognition she is receiving and look forward to watching her continued growth.”
With a background in international business, sustainable development, and public service, Zuccardi has designed and led startup programs, supported ecosystem-building efforts across diverse regions, and mentored entrepreneurs at various stages of growth. Her work focuses on bridging gaps across sectors and communities to ensure more inclusive and effective pathways to innovation and economic opportunity. She is deeply committed to expanding access and engagement across Maryland’s diverse entrepreneurial landscape.
Created to honor the growing force of the Hispanic community in Maryland’s economy and culture, the annual award recognizes Hispanic leaders and the companies that empower them. This recognition is provided across six categories
— Business, Government, Healthcare, Higher Education, Law and Nonprofits — honoring professional accomplishments, community involvement and commitment to mentoring.
“The recipients of the 2026 Maryland Hispanic Leadership Awards are mentors and advocates, trendsetters and trailblazers, demonstrating professional accomplishments and uplifting others through their leadership, service and commitment to mentoring the next generation,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/The Daily Record. “They are dedicated to empowering others, ensuring that Maryland continues to thrive through collaboration and shared opportunity. We at The Daily Record are pleased to join the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and ALPFA Baltimore in honoring these outstanding members of the Hispanic community.”
Maryland’s Hispanic Leadership Awards honorees will be recognized at a reception and awards celebration on October 7 at Gertrude’s Restaurant at the Baltimore Museum of Art. For more information, visit the event page here.
