TEDCO’s APEX Accelerator program is a joint initiative with the Maryland APEX Accelerator Program which is funded through a collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to connect businesses with the resources they need to grow.
The Maryland APEX Accelerator provides counseling services at no cost to registered Maryland small businesses and has played an instrumental role in increasing the number of businesses capable of participating in government contracting across the state. Through counseling, training, and outreach programs, business owners acquire skills needed to win government contracts.
TEDCO’s specific focus is on helping companies with technology transfer activities related to the program’s focus area – technology transfer, commercialization, and SBIR/STTR programs.
APEX Accelerator Services
- Strengthen and build relationships with Federal laboratories and Technology Transfer/Partnership Offices
- Help businesses connect through CRADAs, license agreements, and related mechanisms
- Assist with SBIR/STTR applications
- Conduct market research to identify government agencies that buy your products
- Provide guidance for small, minority, women-owned, and disabled veteran certifications along with information on Federal procurement opportunities
