COLUMBIA, Md., (October 5, 2026) — TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, announces the selected entities and entrepreneurs for the Urban Business Innovation Initiative (UBII) Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIR) Grant Program. The updated program encompasses two urban areas in Maryland – Baltimore City and Prince George’s County – while also reflecting TEDCO’s continued commitment to advancing Maryland’s innovation ecosystem by expanding entrepreneurial opportunities.

“By restructuring the UBII program, we are aiming to provide more opportunities for entrepreneurs across urban Maryland,” said Troy LeMaile-Stovall, TEDCO CEO. “The organizations and entrepreneurs-in-residence were selected after careful consideration.”

The selected grantee organizations in Baltimore City include the University of Baltimore Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Loyola University. Selected grantee organizations in Prince George’s County include Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation and Bowie State University Entrepreneurship Innovation Center.  Each entity will be responsible for collaborating with TEDCO to align EIR activities with broader ecosystem goals, including outreach, startup engagement, data collection and reporting.
