Sarah Kumar is a rising senior at Marriotts Ridge High School and a student in the Academy of Finance at the Applications and Research of Howard County. As the Development & Marketing Intern, Sarah supports the team with drafting content, supporting digital media efforts and more.
At school, Sarah is actively involved as a competitor in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and serves as the president of the Millionaire’s Club, where she leads financial literacy and professional development efforts for her peers.
Prior to joining TEDCO’s Development and Marketing team, she interned with the Howard County Economic Development Authority and Maryland Innovation Center. She is also a 2024 Invest in Girls Fellow, selected to conduct Environmental Social Governance (ESG) investment research and receive mentorship at Brown Advisory in Baltimore, Maryland. Currently, Sarah also serves as a front desk manager at Kumon, where she supports K-12 students with individualized study plans, center operations, and customer service.
