Tyrome “Ty” Smith brings over 25 years of experience in consulting and leadership development, guiding executives and their teams in understanding human and organizational dynamics. He has designed and led innovative programs for the Department of Defense, including coaching product development teams within internal incubators. Ty has also served as faculty and entrepreneur-in-residence at institutions such as Bowie State University, the University of Maryland Innovation Extension Program (ICorps), StreetCode Academy, Black Ambition, and TechStars, where he supported early-stage ventures and fostered innovation. He is a much sought-after public speaker, workshop facilitator, and podcaster. He most recently host the Federal Laboratory Consortium National Award Ceremony.
As a BRIDGE Advisor at TEDCO, Ty works directly with business owners to assess their needs, navigate TEDCO’s Investment and Scale Readiness framework, and connect them with strategic resources across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond. Leveraging his deep expertise in business development and stakeholder engagement, Ty plays a critical role in preparing companies to access the funding and support necessary for sustainable growth.
