Five companies will be supporting the BRIDGE program

COLUMBIA, Md., (October 14, 2025)TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, announces the selection of five companies to support the Business Resource Information, Development & Guidance Ecosystem (BRIDGE)’s Back-Office-in-a-Box program. The companies selected were among the applicants who answered the recent Request for Proposals (RFP).

“While starting a business is a difficult journey, maintaining it typically isn’t any easier,” said TEDCO CEO, Troy LeMaile-Stovall. “Through this program, TEDCO is hoping to close a gap in resources, education and opportunities for underserved business owners, thereby allowing for continued growth in the region.”

The Back-Office-in-a-Box program was designed to provide technical assistance to qualifying Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Individual (SEDI)-owned businesses and Very Small Businesses (VSBs), allowing them access to more resources and expertise needed to obtain funding.

The program will create a “box” of resources and offer “back-office services” for eligible entities – i.e., subsidized software solutions and toolkits for accounting, bookkeeping, payroll management and/or tax compliance – with the goal of ensuring that businesses maintain accurate financial records, meet tax obligations and are more prepared for due diligence processes when seeking external capital. The services provided through the program are part of a broader and targeted Federal intervention aimed at improving the region.

“The firms chosen will be responsible for delivering high-quality Back-Office Services that help businesses maintain accurate records, manage payroll, comply with tax and payroll regulations and prepare for external capital opportunities,” said Kim Mozingo, vice president of Federal Programs, TEDCO. “With this support, BRIDGE hopes to strengthen business’ financial systems and allow for more readiness when companies look to secure more funding.”

The five selected companies include:
•    Alpine HR
•    ASK International, Inc.
•    Community Redevelopment Partners
•    Ellis CPA
•    The Daimler Waterford Group, LLC

“After looking through several high-quality candidates, we decided to choose these five vendors to support the Back-Office-in-a-Box program,” said April Davis-Hurtt, lead advisor for BRIDGE, TEDCO. “With the expertise each company offers, we hope to provide the needed support to companies that will allow for continued expansion in the regional ecosystem.”

TEDCO’s BRIDGE program was created as a three-year project that will support qualifying businesses with legal, accounting and financial advisory services. For more information about the BRIDGE program and how to apply, visit our page at tedcomd.com/resources/bridge
