According to a new independent study conducted by the The University of Baltimore Jacob France Institute, Maryland Technology Development Corporation - TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for tech companies, has generated more than $2.3B in economic benefits to the Region and state.

TEDCO, Maryland’s economic engine for technology companies, announced today that its Rural Business Innovation Initiative (RBII) made a $25,000 investment in Opal HTM, a White Plains, Md.-based, technology company.

Conducted by the University of Baltimore’s Jacob France Institute, the study found that TEDCO provides significant value to the state’s start-up community, supporting 10,433 Maryland jobs and more than $2.3 billion in statewide economic activity as of 2021.
